WRESTLING IS REAL....LIFE IS FAKE

Come in, have a seat and we'll talk about wrestling Stuff

It's been a tough 4 months of training...every week getting beat up and
leaning everything I need to know to get m e through this December
match. I am on cloud 9...my head is swimming with all of the moves, but
I am absorbing as much as possible.

During a break, we would sit around and listen to the stories the vets
had of shows they had been on and worked. "Bad Boy" Billy Bart, a heel
in WCWO looked at me and grinned and said you know that when you do
your first match....YOU WON'T WANNA QUIT! I just shrugged my shoulders
and thought sure. Would I be stupid for continuing with the daily pain?

So the Connersville High School girls gym was the scene of my first
match. I showed up early with the Sons to set up and make sure all is
working with concessions, lockerrooms seating and anything else needed.

Ron Owens shows with the ring and all of the wrestlers begin to show for the night. That's when the nerves starts to crank up.

Peeking in the doors, the people come in and the gym starts filling up.
It appears we are going to have about 700 people in the house.

I go back into the lockerroom so everyone can meet and discuss the show.

The preliminary match is going to be two of the SAL members who had
also taken some training...Kellis Allen and Junior. They both were into
their match and it looked pretty good.

It was worked out that Indiana Kidd Jr would be wrestling against The
Convict Michal Manson early in the night with Don Basher at ringside.
Nearing the end of the match, Basher jumps in the ring and works a
double team on Indiana Kidd Jr....when I am suppose to come storming to
the ring with a chair and run them off setting up the main event match.
You talking about a heartbeat.....that was the first taste of being
involved in pro wrestling.

It's main event time.....the crowd is great...and man the butterflies are going nuts.

As we wait in the hall....the ring announcer was a co-worker Traci
Brooks of WIFE Radio, announces the bad guys, the Convict Michal Manson
and the Dangerous Bull Don Basher. Music is cranking...smoke machine is
doing it's thing and the crowd is standing. Then it was time....the
introduction of Indiana Kidd Jr and Randy Klemme coming to the ring to
Kidd's mujsic "We Will Rock You"...

WOW WHAT A FEELING!

Kidd and Convict start the match thankfully, cause I am wondering what
the heck I am doing there. Kidd gets the advantage and tags me
in....HERE WE GO. I was shown alot in 4 months, but I stuck to the
basics, just so I would not forget.

Manson is a good worker and allows me to do my stuff...but after a few
tags I find myself face to face with the boss and I KNEW in my mind, I
was in for another lesson.

Yeah it was my first taste of a Basher overhand chop....and that broke
the ice. My job was to play to the crowd. I had Basher on his back and
his feet in the air. ELBOW DROP! right down the middle!

I think I was actually floating in the ring.

All four of us get in the ring as the match comes to the end. I am on
all 4s and WHACK....a metal folding chair smacks my back--not once but
twice!

In the end, it was a brawl...me and Basher and Convict and Kidd in
opposite corners....SPLAT inthe middle of the ring and I go for the pin
1-2-3!!!! It was over!

You talking about the adrenaline pumping!

I remember several things that happened during the match--one I almost
lost my pants about half way through the match, and I am not sure how
the heck happened....WHO CARES!

In the back, the guys admired the seat print on my back from the chair
shots I took--it was a badge of honor. Many of the guys came over and
shook hands and said it looked good in the ring....Basher, Convict and
Kidd all came over and thanked me for the match and said I did well and
that was the biggest thing I took from the night. I didn't want to let
the boys down.

What a memory. My match is in the books. Now it is time for
teardown...and as everyone is leaving, Basher comes over and says, I'll
see you next Sunday at training! I thought about that remark for a
couple of days and finally called him and asked what he meant.

Basher decided he wanted to keep me around..OH MY! WAS BILLY BART RIGHT? This wasn't my only match?

I have been accepted as a member of WCWO....wow, it's more than a dream!

After over 300 matches in my 10 year career, I am still happy to call WCWO my home!

Chapter three will be talking about winning the WCWO Heavyweight title, May 1st 1999 Live on the internet seen worldwide!

the feeling was unbelievable
