SOME GUYS GOT NO RIGHT......

to be in a ring...by this i mean blokes who have had push after push after push and still make the crowd change channels or go to the loo when they show up...for instance i hear ya say..WELL....how about for starters...

MARK HENRY....absolutely hopeless case....blows spots, hurts guys, cant use a mike to save himself......and to top it off after being told by jerry brisco he was too big to do a running knee...what did he do ...a running knee and he split his patella in half...so apparently his f'n deaf too....but they made him the ECW champ anyway.....imagine if that happened in the old ECW...the sandman woulda killed him as a community service.

MABEL.....vince actually made this gigantic ball of blubber the king of the ring one year...another waste of space in the mark henry vein....no talent, no mike skills...nuthin.

HULK HOGAN....this'll piss someone off....but seriously...another example of can't or more accurately in hogans case wont work..i've seen him in japan and its a totally different hogan compared to the one we use to see cloggingup main events for 15 years....like triple H says...while hogan was out there posing for 4 minutes...other guys were doing 35-40 minutes and getting nowhere...just wrong.

anyway...if you can think of anymore wastes of space feel free to add to the list.

That's the thing. Hogan could get more of a reaction turning his head sideways at the fans then most guys could get in their entire match. Hogan knew how to entertain, and still does to this day. To me he's an icon, the reason I'm a fan of wrestling today. His Japanese matches were different because he understood he needed to work harder athletically. The WWF fans were much "easier" so he didn't have to do as much.

So many guys I see especially working indy shows and even in Australia who do a whole bunch of moves, really impressive athletic stuff, but they don't know why they're doing them. All these moves, but people aren't emotionally getting into what they're doing. They're clapping because you can't help but appreciate a cool move, but then its all over and roll out the next match.

HHH says Hogan was a bad worker because he's too busy sniffing around Flair. I don't have a great deal of respect as a fan for what HHH says.; ▶ Reply to This

Permalink Reply by THE RECKSTER (Dave Reck) on February 12, 2009 at 11:30am: I get your point about the spot -fest going on in Aussie wrestling....the workers need some tuition to learn the psychology, maybe get some of the older guys from who worked the clubs in the 70's and 80's (IE: Dazzler Dunlop , Lofty Pickford, Black Scot etc) and ch 9 to mentor + we seem to be missing some decent mike workers, from what i've seen anyway.....But were gonna have to agree to disagree on Hogan...LOL....I got sick of him after WM 3......mind you HHH isnt the only bloke who has said that...I was just using him as a example; ▶ Reply to This

Back then you had national TV, money, big name talent, big buildings and a fanbase. Now you have a smattering of small indy like promotions, no TV, no money, no big names or buildings. I didn't have the pleasure of watching the original ECW(Mcmahon-less) but the sandman we see today is nothing special....he's a waste of space and he aint showing much wrestling skills except for swinging a kendo stick and whacking it across peoples heads and backs; ▶ Reply to This
